“ This place is hard to miss when driving along old Route 66 in Flagstaff, especially since it's located right next to Fat Olive. I decided to stop by and grab some bagels before leaving town. It was Sunday at 11 a.m., and while the parking lot was only half full, the inside was bustling. I noticed a sign for online order pickups, so I skipped the line and placed my order online. Although they don't have an online ordering link on Yelp, a quick Google search for "Fat Bagel online order" did the trick. The estimated wait time was 30 minutes, but my order was ready in just 10. They seemed well-staffed and very efficient. As for the bagels, they were decent, though nothing particularly special. It's worth noting that they also have a drive-thru, which adds to the convenience. ”
“ I picked up a bagel, a salad, and two coffees. Service was great. Plenty of tables if you want to eat in, a drive thru if you want to pick up and go. They place printed labels on everything (like Starbucks) which is a nice high tech feature. My wife thought the bagel a little on the hard side, while I believe in happy wife, happy life, I tried it and I thought it was really good. Sometimes people don't really know that a real bagel has a solid outside, chewy inside. Many bagel places don't make true New York bagels, instead most places make bread with a hole in the middle and call it a bagel. Don't be a softy, eat a real bagel. Salad and coffees were great too. ”
“ We'd been eyeing Fat Bagels since it opened, and this past Friday morning was finally the perfect time to try it out. Knowing it's owned by John Conley (of Fat Olives and Salsa Brava fame), we came in with high expectations, and it absolutely delivered! I had the Miss Piggy, which came loaded with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, hashbrowns, applewood smoked bacon, and pistachio mortadella on a toasted asiago bagel. It was deliciously indulgent--worth every bite! The fresh-squeezed orange juice was also fantastic and lived up to its name, bursting with freshness. As a bonus, the sandwich portion was generous, so I saved half for the next morning, and it reheated beautifully in the toaster oven (and I'm picky about leftovers!). We'll definitely be back! ”
“ My daughter and I had a great experience here. The bagels are fantastic! They claim the bagels are "kettle-boiled", which makes the inside kind of chewy. The crust is a little tough but with a nice al dente "chew" that is very nice. I have not had this type of bagel before (only the toasty, bready kind) and I thought it was marvelous. Definitely unique and something I look forward to trying again. I got a simple poppy seed bagel and a schmear of cream cheese, but they have a wide variety of bagels and schmears that should satisfy everyone. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The bagels came out quickly. The coffee was fresh and hot. The room is a little tight. Not a lot of space to camp out and work but it wasn't crowded even though they were busy. I am not a connoisseur of bagels but I loved the one I got here. Definitely will go back for more. ”
“ It's been fun to watch the renovation that is now known as Fat Bagels. I stopped in on what was their very first day and things were really hopping. Both the drive-through and the line inside at the counter were lengthy. The hustle and bustle vibe was fun. The menu included bagels with shmears, breakfast sandwiches, bagel sandwiches, matzoh ball soup, and coffee drinks. Personally, for me, the bagels were OK. Nothing special. But it was the first day. I'll definitely go back once all the hubbub dies down. ”
